Sony released its download numbers for April 2012 for its PlayStation Network games, and it was a pretty packed list with lots of entertaining games like The House of the Dead 4, Journey, Skullgirls and The Walking Dead.  Leading the pack was a real surprise, though – Ubisoft’s long-awaited survival tale I Am Alive.

The game, which has you fighting as a survivor in the midst of a nuclear ravaged city, features luxurious graphics and realistic conditions when it comes to getting out of situations alive, including intimidating threats and getting through the harshest of conditions.  It sits at the number one position on the list just in front of thatgamecompany’s Journey, the third in the company’s awesome line-up of games.

Strangely enough, only one PS Vita game was on the list for the entire month, the quirky adventure game Escape Plan.  These numbers are bound to pick up as units sell throughout the summer and with the release of Resistance: Burning Skies set for later this month.

Can I Am Alive hold its lead for the following month?  We’ll find out soon.
