Hotline Miami has already been creating quite an ultra-violet stir on the PC front, with over 300,000 copies sold. But in case you're missing out – or you just might want to see how it would fare on consoles – we've got some good news for you.
Devolver Digital, the publisher behind the uber-popular game, has announced that it is coming to the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita this spring. Abstraction Games will be handling the development, alongside the original creative team at Dennaton Games, and the game will be Cross-Buy compatible, so you get two worlds of over-the-top carnage for one great price.
"Our team have been fans of Hotline Miami from the very start and we are absolutely thrilled to have such a brilliant game launch on the PlayStation platform," said Shahid Ahmad, Senior Business Development Manager, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE). "The intense visuals and pulsing soundtrack are perfectly suited for PS3 and PS VIta and we can't wait for PlayStation fans to see what Hotline Miami is all about."
"The Devolver Digital team is hyped to see Hotline Miami hit PS3 and PS Vita," said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. "However, this Cross-Buy thing might prohibit me from achieving my long-standing dream of wearing a gold plated PS Vita around my neck. Total bummer."
We'll have a preview for you soon.
