Hollow Knight: Silksong is spinning its way onto Switch and PC sometime in the agonizingly vague future after more than a year under wraps.
A blog post from developers Team Cherry revealed the game just after Nintendo’s Direct failed to bring any more DLC news for the Souls-like bugvania.
According to the team, Silksong started out as a DLC but soon ballooned into its own world where players will take on the role of recurring NPC Hornet as she stylishly slices her way through 150 new enemies.
The world consists of coral forests, mossy grottos, gilded cities and misted moors with a shining citadel at the top which you’ll probably be drawn inexplicably toward like a moth to a flame.
Kickstarter backers of the original 2017 game will receive a copy of Silksong for free as a gesture of goodwill when it eventually releases.
Further platforms are not planned at the moment, though Team Cherry does remind fans that they are only three people and would like for more platforms to happen but there are really only so many hours in the day.
