“We would like to thank fans from around the world on the tremendous reaction to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy from our Portkey Games label. Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is Paramount to us so we are giving the game the time it needs. Hogwarts Legacy will be released in 2022. “
Hogwarts Legacy was first unveiled officially during the final PlayStation 5 event. A lengthy trailer showcased a lot of what fans can expect from the game. Prior to that announcement, the game had been heavily rumored and even leaked online.
The game takes place in the late 18000’s long before any events of the books. You’ll be able to choose your Hogwarts class and explore an open-world. You’ll cast spells, brew potions, and a myriad of other activities.
J.K Rowling, the creator of Harry Potter has made many transphobic remarks on Twitter. She will still be receiving royalties from this game and it’s important for our readers to know this. You can read further on this subject here.
When the game launches sometime in 2022 it will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
