Hideo Kojima Gets the Cyberpunk 2077 Treatment From CD Projekt RED

Hideo Kojima in Cyberpunk 2077, need we say more?
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Everyone and their mothers are excited for CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 and while we know we’ve got some Keanu Reeves goodness to enjoy, the studio decided to make Death Stranding’s Hideo Kojima an honorary character as well ready to take on Night City.

Kojima-san’s mark on gaming has given us gifts like Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and recently; Death Stranding. While he’s not a confirmed character in Cyberpunk 2077 like Reeves is, this concept art at least gives us a taste of what his inclusion could be like.

The post is a congratulative one, congratulating Kojima-san on his recent Death Stranding PC launch. Death Stranding was initially supposed to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but Kojima-san does what he wants and now it’s on PC. You know what this means? Mod support! So bring on Thomas the Tank Engine and Isolde from Dragon Age Origins screaming “Teeeaaagon!” in that horrendous accent, because mods are definitely on the way – as they should be.

As for Cyberpunk 2077, the road has been a long one but the media reactions to the open-world RPG have been nothing short of stunning. With unlimited freedom to explore and interact with various NPCs throughout Night City, Cyberpunk 2077 is CD Projekt RED’s most ambitious project yet.

And who is to say? Maybe Kojima-san does have a hidden role and they are just hiding it in plain sight? Stranger things have happened and CD Projekt RED is no stranger to dropping whopping surprises.
