Fortnite Battle Royale continues to grow and evolve as the months go on and the latest update coming to the game is meant to update the map, adding five new places for players to land and loot. This will help fill out the map quite a bit, filling in the empty spaces that have long taken up precious space in the map. Last week Epic Games announced that the update for the new map would arrive this week, and now we finally know exactly when Fortnite Battle Royale’s big map update will happen.
Now that fans have spent a week looking at the new map update coming to Fortnite Battle Royale and drooling over the changes, it’s time to finally start gearing up for its release. Thanks to a news press report that was just released today, we now know that Fortnite Battle Royale’s big map update will be available starting tomorrow on January 18. The new update will add quite a few new areas to the game—five in total—and you can learn more about every area in our guide covering all the new locations and cities in Fortnite’s map update.
Fans can look forward to the new update hitting tomorrow, which means they’ll get plenty of time over the weekend to break in the new cities and towns. We’re really excited to jump into the update ourselves, and we’ll be sure to post any official patch notes as soon as they become available. With the update coming online tomorrow, it’s most likely that many players will see an increase in load times, and that you’ll possibly find yourself in a queue to login. Make sure to check out our guide on why am I in queue if you have any questions about the queue, and be sure to head over to our Fortnite guide if you’d like more help in the game.
