Today, Rising Star Games and Natsume Inc. announced that the classic farming simulator Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition is headed to consoles this Spring. After successfully launching on Steam late last year, Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in May 2018.
The Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition will include various new features that are exclusive to the console versions of the game. The developers didn’t go into detail on what those features might be, though they did mention that fans should keep an eye out for updates.
“The Special Edition has new features made specifically for console gamers that we will be unveiling throughout the coming months," said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume. "We also look forward to sharing some special bonuses to go along with the game.”
In Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, players find themselves drifting to the shores of a small harbor town that has been ravaged by a storm. Players must grow crops, repair buildings, and befriend townsfolk in an effort to rebuild the town and establish a new place to call home.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition will release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in May 2018 for $39.99, with a handful of console-specific features to sweeten the deal.
