Halo 5: Guardians will not officially debut until fall 2015, but we’ll catch a glimpse of what this ambitious sequel has to offer with the upcoming beta, scheduled to begin on December 29 and lasting until January 18. During this time, fans will enjoy some Slayer in a handful of maps, including the new Empire. In addition, a new multiplayer mode called Breakout pits two teams of four against each other, with the catch being each person has one life and weakened shields for each round.
In addition, the Halo 5: Guardians Beta will showcase different Spartan abilities, from a Smart Scope feature that allows for better aiming to a Thruster Pack that lets players boost in any direction.
To find out more, we caught up with developers from 343 Industries to talk all things Halo 5.
