Halo 4 is now just seven days away from release and excitement is definitely bursting through on all fronts, with millions of units pre-ordered (I can’t even find a limited edition anymore) and fans everywhere eager to see where Master Chief goes next.

But it’s not all about him, you know? The game also contains five new Spartan Ops missions that will be available via download over the first season of the game’s release. To celebrate their arrival, Microsoft has released a separate launch trailer that shows off what to expect from the Majestic Squad on the UNSC Infinity. Judging by what we’ve seen thus far, there’s a lot to get excited about.

The missions will add an additional 12 hours of gameplay to the total package and also provide you with the opportunity to team up with friends in online co-op across Xbox Live, so you can show waves of enemies who’s boss while capturing objectives.

We’ll have a wrap-up of Spartan Ops missions for you in the weeks ahead, but count the days people. You can face the new enemy in Halo 4 starting November 6th exclusively on Xbox 360.
