Sad you missed out on the Rooster Teeth Expo this weekend? Or maybe you’re just startled by the fact that you didn’t even know one was happening? Well, don’t worry about it, it happens to the best of us. But the yearly event hosted a number of big announcements, among them a bombshell for the upcoming Halo 4.
Certain Affinity, the development team behind the previously released Crimson Alliance for Xbox Live Arcade, as well as the folks who developed map packs and expansions for various first-person shooters (including Halo), have announced that they are handling development duties for Halo 4’s upcoming Forge mode. And they were more than happy to show off footage from their work at the event.
This updated Forge Mode comes with a number of updates, including a new shadowing system, where you can lock items and magnetize objects, as well as new “Player Trait Zones”. Here, you can modify specific areas to affect player speed, damage reception and jump height, providing yourself (and teammates) an advantage if need be.
You can check out the footage from the event here, and get ready for Halo 4 this November!
