Bungie have detailed the vehicle over on their site. It was originally penned for Halo 2, and has been described as an ultra-light, all-terrain vehicle, perfect for gaining territory in multiplayer games and going for manic attempts to grab a flag.

“Speed is the only protection this vehicle provides; it is unarmored, noisy, and prone to roll over. It demands a level of skill from its operator that is impossible to expect from the rank and file during combat conditions. Those not qualified as expert need not apply.”

Good Mongoose use is demonstrated and explained across the High Ground and Valhalla maps over at Bungie’s site. There are also reports on how community team and game developers performed when pitted against each other in recent games.

There’s open beta-testing on the way this spring, why not head over to Bungie’s site to sign up.
