Halo 3 assault rifle discussed

Bungie talk MA5C
This article is over 18 years old and may contain outdated information

Microsoft-owned development team Bungie have released a little information on the assault rifle featured in Halo 3, it goes by the name MA5C, catchy.

The assault rifle will most likely receive a warm welcome back from fans as it was omitted from Halo 2 for some reason or other. The power of the MA5C should measure at a point between the MA5B assault rifle from the first Halo and the BR55 Battle Rifle seen in Halo 2. The MA5C will let players whack an enemy hard with the butt of the rifle but boasts no alternate fire.

Bungie have, much like with their Mongoose update, featured a few comments from fictional soldiers from the world of Halo.

“The MA5C is built like a brick outhouse with Venetian blinds. You can pound on a mike foxtrot with it like it was a sledgehammer,” one infantryman remarked, “I have slogged through snow and mud and sand with my (MA5C); even got dumped into an open sewer with it and it has never given me a bit of complaint. I trust it like I trust my own arms” another added.

The multiplayer beta is nearing, keep your eyes peeled.
