The details regarding the new release window for Hades II were made available in a new blog post by Supergiant Games. The blog post talks about Early Access and how development has progressed since the announcement during 2022’s Game Awards. Supergiant aims to provide as much content as the first game did during its own Early Access period.

The developer also explained that the decision to go with Early Access was made before anything else, even the underworld setting that Hades II uses. “We’ve approached development of Hades II knowing Early Access will be no less important this time, though now knowing a bit more of what to expect from Early Access development, as well as more about what a Hades game needs to be,” says the blog post while also adding that the game will receive several major updates based on player feedback and refining the Hades II experience as a whole.

The developer also admitted that it doesn’t know how long it will take before Hades II reaches the coveted v1.0 release, but that the focus will remain on building content and gear up for the game’s technical test and Early Access launch in Q2 2024.
