During the Xbox & Bethesda showcase as part of E3 2021, it was revealed that Hades is making its way onto Xbox this August. Not only is Hades coming to Xbox, it’ll be available through Xbox Game Pass, and it’s getting a physical retail release for consoles!

Hades Coming to Xbox Game Pass in August

If you’re looking for a good reason to give Hades a try, we have one for you in the form of an announcement aired during the Xbox & Bethesda showcase. On August 13, Hades will be available on Xbox consoles and available through Xbox Game Pass.

The trailer announcing this information was short and sweet, primarily focusing on the fast-paced frenzied combat that Hades does so incredibly well. It doesn’t show the dynamics of Zagreus talking to the other characters or anything like that, so take our word for it when we say there’s a lot more to Hades than you’d expect.

There’s a reason why Hades won so many Game of the Year awards last year. It’s fantastic. Should you fall in love with Hades after playing it through Xbox Game Pass, another batch of good news was announced recently regarding the retail release of Hades.

Supergiant and Private Division are teaming up to bring Hades to Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 as a physical release the same day as the Xbox release, August 13.

That’s right, on August 13 you’ll be able to buy a box copy of Hades for Xbox (or PlayStation) consoles and not only that, the retail edition includes bonus items like redeemable code for the Hades Original Soundtrack (digital download) with tracks composed by Darren Korb and featuring vocals by Ashley Barrett.

Other bonus items include a compendium booklet featuring art from award-winning Supergiant Games’ Art Director, Jen Zee. The physical release information also includes a nice tidbit about Hades supporting Smart Delivery on Xbox as well.

Overall, we’re excited at the opportunity to play Hades on other platforms like Xbox, and the ability to purchase physical copies of Hades starting August 13 as well. To recap, Hades will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Windows 10 PCs starting August 13.

It’ll also be available as part of Xbox Game Pass, so if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, keep an eye out for this amazing title on August 13! If you like buying physical copies of games, also keep an eye out for the physical retail release of Hades starting August 13.
