Hades 2 is a sequel to the popular roguelike action role-playing game, Hades, which originally caught popularity in 2020. The developers behind the game, Supergiant Games, released Hades 2 in early access last May 6, 2024, without any prior launch date announcement. The game seemingly dropped out of nowhere and has been an incredible experience for many despite its early access status.

Just a few dozen hours after launching, Hades 2 has achieved wide success worldwide, reaching 11,092 overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam. As of writing, the game has 11,426 reviews and 97.07% of them are all positive. The majority of reviews state that Hades 2 is better than the original title, featuring much more content, which is already an incredibly massive achievement for Supergiant Games.

It’s one thing to create something so good that people won’t stop asking for more. But it’s an entirely different scenario to develop something better than the original. History has shown that great video games aren’t easy to pull off. More so, sequels to already great titles. Supergiant Games has created another masterpiece for fans to relish for years to come.

Hades 2 is available now on PC via Steam and Epic Games. It will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S at a later date.
