Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Announced

The latest edition of this venerable fighting series hacks its way onto PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in October.

Arc System Works has been incredibly busy as of late.  They’ve just shuffled off Persona 4 Arena courtesy of Atlus, a fighting game that’s getting a swell amount of attention (and for good reason — it’s superb).  But now they’re wrapping up work on yet another great fighting game that will keep PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners brawling into the new year.

It’s been announced that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, an extension of the popular 2D fighting game series, will be released this October.  Though it’s not a high definition remake like a lot of Capcom’s games (it’s a port of the classic PS2 release), it will be packed with plenty of features, including some new components that are being put into the +R update that’s making the rounds in Japanese arcades.  For good measure, it might have online play as well, though we’re waiting for confirmation on that.

Hey, we’re just fine with playing another great fighting game on the download front.  The real question is…WHO WANTS A TASTE OF FIST?!
