Green Arrow Joins the Injustice: Gods Among Us Roster

Man, first a TV show, now a fighting game. Oliver Queen has it good.

Netherrealm Studios and WB Games continue to expand the roster for their superhero fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us.  Along with featuring top-of-the-line DC heroes like Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman, you’ll also be able to play as…Green Arrow.

WB announced the character today through Entertainment Weekly, talking about how Oliver Queen, multi-millionaire by day and crime fighter by night, will be able to mix it up with the best of ’em, using his powerful arrow shooting and strengthened abilities.  You can probably bet that he has a bad-ass super technique to boot, probably something involving, well, a lot of arrows.

Green Arrow has been on a comeback as of late, with WB producing a new live-action TV series called Arrow featuring the character, and now as part of the Injustice team.  And Netherrealm isn’t done yet, as the developer is likely to reveal new additions to the fighting game – perhaps even as soon as this weekend’s New York Comic-Con event.

Look for more information on Injustice in the weeks ahead.  It’s looking like a, ahem, bullseye.
