The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC

Ace Attorney fans have something exciting to look forward to this July as it was revealed that two Ace Attorney games that have previously never been released outside of Japan are getting a Western release.

As announced by Shu Takumi and Capcom, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will be available to gamers outside of Japan and will include both The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve.

In the description of the official announcement video posted to the Ace Attorney YouTube channel, the following information was provided:

“The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles brings together two incredible adventures set a century before the events of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney! This special trailer features an introduction and closing statements from Shu Takumi – the director and scenario writer of the first three Ace Attorney games as well as both The Great Ace Attorney games – that Ace fans absolutely do not want to miss.

Never before released outside of Japan, both The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve follow the escapades of fledgling lawyer Ryunosuke Naruhodo, his trusty legal aide, Susato Mikotoba, the inimitable detective, Herlock Sholmes, young genius Iris Wilson, and a wide variety of weird and wonderful characters. Ten cases chock full of intriguing mysteries and courtroom mayhem await you, set against the backdrop of 19th century Japan and England.

Before Phoenix, there was Ryunosuke. Seems like being an ace attorney runs in the family after all.”

The news regarding the release of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles has been met with waves of excitement from Ace Attorney fans, many of whom weren’t expecting to see these games get this sort of release.

And for those unfamiliar with these games, additional information can be found on the official website for Ace Attorney.

“With all the fun and drama of the Ace Attorney series set against a backdrop of Victorian-era Britain and Japan, there’s sure to be no “Objection!” to the adventures of Ryunosuke Naruhodo as he turns the courtroom upside down! Featuring an intriguing overarching mystery spanning across two games, it’s the most engrossing story in the series yet!”

Along with the above description, the website notes there will be pre-orders for the game as well.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles featuring The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve will be available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC on July 27, 2021.
