When God of War: Ascension came out for PlayStation 3 earlier this week, Sony Santa Monica already had to address one matter via patch with the replacement of the controversial “Bros Before Hos” Trophy.  But now it appears that another one is incoming to address a problem with the game’s difficulty.

A number of folks are complaining that one particular point in the Trials of Archimedes section of the game is a little too hard to take, with only so many health drops to take advantage of and no checkpoints in sight.

Game director Todd Papy addressed the matter on his Twitter account, stating that the team is “looking into patching it” immediately.  “I personally tuned it.  I didn’t mean for it to be so hard.  We are looking into patching it.”  As far as a release date for the patch, one wasn’t given, but you should expect it “very soon”.

In the meantime, maybe try beating the section on Easy difficulty…?  We won’t tell if you don’t.

God of War: Ascension is available now for PlayStation 3.
