Trials Evolution definitely isn’t a game that could be considered a “cake walk”, with its ridiculously difficult track design and challenges.  That said, it’s one of the best games on XBLA right now, as it really chips away at you to keep on trying.  And if the game’s original content wasn’t enough of a thrill for you, maybe the Origin of Pain is.

Ubisoft and RedLynx (the game’s developer) have announced that the Origin of Pain DLC pack will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade next month.  In this new pack, you’ll cruise around Paine Island (appropriately named), taking on 36 new tracks that include “lost temples, a haunted circus, deserted beaches and a menacing volcano”.  You’ll also have access to an additional BMX bike, with extra tracks and a special event, as well as more tools for the track editor, such as “teleporting, gun firing, switch filters and vector math”.  Vector math in a racing game, you say?

Finally, you’ll also be able to race your friends on ten new multiplayer tracks.  Because who doesn’t like competition?

Trials Evolution is available now on Xbox Live Arcade.  We highly suggest checking it out.
