Ever since the original Bit.trip Runner worked its way into our hearts on the Wii and 3DS a couple of years back, we were eager to see what Gaijin Games was doing next with its announced sequel, Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien. Today, we got the good news – it’s just about ready!
The sequel has been submitted for approval across the board, on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and the Wii U eShop, and it should find a release later this month if all goes well. The game will also arrive on Steam, PC and Mac sometime around the end of the month, with a speculated February 26th release date.
It wasn’t an easy process, as Gaijin founder Alex Neuse stated that there were various stages to go through in the approval process, including repackaging the game for XBLA and doing last minute bug fixes for both the Wii U and PS3 versions. But it’s just about done, so relax, and get ready to run.
