On social media, Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, shared some exciting information about the launch of Forza Horizon 5. Not only did Forza Horizon 5 have the biggest launch out of any Xbox Game Studios title, its number of peak concurrent players was three times higher than the peak of its predecessor, Forza Horizon 4.
Forza Horizon 5 Earns First Place With Biggest Xbox Game Studios Launch Day
The launch of Forza Horizon 5 has been huge. How huge? Well, according to Phil Spencer, it had the largest launch day out of any Xbox Game Studios game. The number of peak concurrent players in Forza Horizon 5 was also reportedly three times higher than Forza Horizon’s 4 peak according to Phil Spencer.
On Twitter, Spencer tweeted out:
“We’ve invested for years in Xbox so more people can play. With 4.5+ million players so far across PC, cloud & console, Forza Horizon 5 shows that promise coming to life. Largest launch day for XGS game, peak concurrent 3x FH4 high. Thank you players & congrats to @WeArePlayground.”
The number of people who’ve checked out Forza Horizon 5 is impressive indeed at 4.5+ million players and counting. As for why Forza Horizon 5 has been so successful, we feel like it’s a combination of the fan base being really excited for the game’s release, and the fact that Forza Horizon 5 is available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
