Starting tomorrow, Fortnite players can dive into a brand new Battle Royale game mode that pits teams of 20 against one another in an epic battle for survival. The Teams of 20 limited time mode is scheduled to arrive in Fortnite Battle Royale as part of a free update on March 8. Epic has launched a new Teams of 20 trailer to coincide with today’s announcement, which you can watch below.
Much like the temporary 50v50 mode, Fortnite’s Teams of 20 game mode will only be available for a limited time. The new game mode splits players into five teams of 20 in Fortnite Battle Royale, which will likely impact where players spawn and how they choose to play.
In a recent blog post, Epic mentioned that their team has been “hammering away at Limited Time Modes,” using player feedback to build new modes for players to enjoy. Along with the new Teams of 20 game mode, Epic plans to run several other limited time modes over the next month, including Blitz Mode and a revamped version of 50v50 mode.
Fortnite has received a steady flow of updates over the past couple months, the most popular being the huge Season 3 update, which brought new Battle Pass challenges and rewards to Fortnite Battle Royale.
