Following the grand traditional of the hottest new genre in gaming, Fortnite Battle Royale will be free!

Epic Games has announced that Fortnite Battle Royale will be free for everyone on September 26, 2017. While the early access version of Fortnite had to be purchased, Battle Royale will be completely free whether you have the Fortnite Founder’s Pack or not. For those unfamiliar with Fortnite Battle Royale, it’s a new 100-person player vs. player mode, somewhat similar to Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, but with a Fortnite visual style.

Fortnite Battle Royale will be free for all players on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Mac. Boasting a giant map with destructible environments, players will be able to combine the building elements of Fortnite with their combat skills to be the last man standing in the new Fortnite Battle Royale.
