With Call of Duty: Black Ops II headed to consoles on November 13, we’re sure that game is going to get a ton of attention. But let’s not leave the Vita out in the cold. Activision has a Call of Duty game in the works for it as well, and today they unveiled more information about what we can expect from it.
In Declassified, you’ll tackle a series of new Special Ops missions, along with multiplayer that is tailor fashioned for the Vita. Cross-platform play hasn’t been ruled out, but since it’s being made specifically for the handheld, it may not be likely.
Here’s the official scoop from Activision:
“Before the future could be won, history had to be written. Exposing that story exclusively on PlayStation Vita, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified explores original fiction in the Call of Duty Black Ops universe with an all-new campaign of Special Ops missions. Optimized for gamers on-the-go, Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified delivers the most intense handheld Call of Duty experience to date, including both Special Ops Story mode and Multiplayer combat tailored for the PS Vita.”
Look for the game to arrive around the same time as Black Ops II this November.
