EA are to release the Ultimate Team DLC for FIFA 10 in February on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 formats.
Ultimate Team is a return to last year’s trading card game that took its inspiration from trading football stickers in school. The add-on came complete with an online trading market and allowed players to buy, sell and exchange cards.
It was possible to take cards into online tournaments and play games against other players. The matches included the use of Gameplay Modifier cards, utilized to affect the play to a gamer’s advantage.
This year’s offering comes at a cheaper price and is packed with more features. It comes at a cost of only 400 Microsoft points or 4.99 USD, half the price of last year’s edition.
The chemistry system, which is there to match players against each other, has had an overhaul, with much more effort into it being more accurate in its predictions.
It’s also going to be possible to take teams into themed competitions and more standard tournaments.
