Microsoft has pulled a patch for massive indie hit Fez rolled out last week that had caused some players’ save files to corrupt.
"UPDATE : CRISIS SEMI-AVERTED!" a post on the Polytron site came.
"Microsoft has pulled the patch out of Live for now, so at least the problem won't affect new users.
"We're trying to find out what happened and fix it as soon as possible. Like, in less than two months.
"YAY GAME DEVELOPMENT!"
Polytron had talked of being “floored” by the face that they weren’t able to replicate the error in tests prior to the patch’s release.
"For the moment, deleting your system cache should resolve the issue, but if that fails, there is no known workaround. We'll keep you updated on the situation."
