Leading up to the release of the much anticipated Far Cry 4 on November 18, Ubisoft is continuing to reveal more about what players can expect when they first step foot in Kyrat, the game’s fictional location ruled by Pagan Min. Today, that trend continued with details emerging about the Battle of Kyrat, the game’s PvP mode.
In Battle of Kyrat gamers will play as either the Rakshasa, Pagan Min’s elite guard, or the Golden Path rebellion that oppose them. While the Rakshasa prefer modern technology and firepower to win their battles, the Golden Rebellion prefer more traditional weapons, specifically the bow. On paper it may sound like a mismatch, but it’s not. Players will have to step into the shoes of each faction, and the team with the best overall performance will win the match.
The PvP mode consists of the following.
- 5v5 round-based matches
- 20 minutes average match length
- 10 maps at launch
- 3 different game modes
- Outpost
- Propaganda
- Demon Mask
