Everything We Learned From the Halo Infinite Multiplayer Overview

In the video, which can be seen below, fans can see some all-new multiplayer footage as well as some of the new features 343 is adding to the game.

Most obvious is the level of customization players will have over their Spartans. You can customize every piece of your armor, your color coating, and even weapon and vehicle colors. Outside of the armor, you can also change out some of your character’s basic features. Change out prosthetics and other various options for your character’s limbs.

The team also talked about their monetization plans for Halo Infinite. It’s adopting a battle pass style system, but 343 mentioned a battle pass would never expire. Most free-to-play games have a battle pass that goes away when the season ends, but Halo Infinite’s will not.

In fact, you’ll even be able to purchase the old season’s battle pass if you want to make sure you’re able to unlock everything the game has to offer.

The final big thing shown today was what 343 is calling the “Academy”. This is part of the onboarding process for the multiplayer modes. It comes equipped with a firing range for players to test out weapons and see which one fits best for them. It also allows you to drop bots in and get warmed up before hopping into a match. It’s an excellent tool for new and old players to become reacquainted with the game and language of Halo.

There wasn’t much mention of custom games, forge, or a file-sharing system, but we hope to see more of that closer to launch.
