There’s just no stopping the power of a good paintbrush.
It’s been announced by Disney Interactive’s European office that Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, the latest tale featuring the iconic mouse, will be making its way to the PlayStation Vita later this year. Though official details have yet to trinkle down, the game is expected to feature enhanced touch and tilt controls to further immerse players into the magical (yet corrupted) animation world, as well as online co-op. Mickey will once again team up with Oswald the Rabbit to attempt to make things right.
However, the game has only been confirmed for a UK release at the moment. Epic Mickey 2 did release late last year for various platforms in the US, including the Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but less-than-favorable reviews and lesser sales numbers made it lose popularity rather quickly. The development studio that made the game, Junction Point, also shut down as a result.
We wouldn’t be surprised to see a U.S. release announced sometime over the next few months, possibly at the Game Developers Conference coming up in a couple of weeks. We’ll see…
