A few weeks back, Electronic Arts stated that it was doing away with the Online Pass activation feature for its game releases moving forward. We had no idea at the time that the company was going to do it with some of its previously released games as well.
Starting yesterday, Electronic Arts began removing the requirement for Online Pass activations for several Xbox Live games and more are sure to follow in the months ahead. That means you can download content from these games without having to worry about activating anything…
- Alice: Madness Returns
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- Bulletstorm
- Dragon Age: Origins: The Stone Prisoner
- Dragon Age 2: The Black Emporium
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
- Mass Effect 2: Cerberus Network
- Medal of Honor
- Shift 2 Unleashed
- Skate 3: Skate Share Pack
Said EA, “We listened to the feedback from players, and decided to do away with Online Pass. We hope that eliminating Online Pass will allow more people to play and enjoy EA games for a long time to come.”
We’ll let you know what other games do away with Online Pass as the list grows…
