Grid 2 will feature a system named LiveRoutes that changes the track lap-by-lap as you race.

The opt-in system was shown off on the upcoming game’s Chicago circuit at the Eurogamer Expo this weekend. The system caused what was previously a straight section to become a left-right switchback on the second lap.

Codemasters used the show as a chance to show off Grid 2’s circuit racing, in which a field of BAC Monos raced against each other in Austria’s Red Bull Ring. You might have heard of it before as the A1-Ring, and in its previous incarnation Österreichring.

Grid 2’s a highly-anticipated sequel to 2008’s racer, bringing with it a no-assists handling model named TrueFeel. Have a look at the Eurogamer Expo developer talk below if you’re after more info.
