Over the years, THQ's UFC games have done well in terms of representing the sport and offering hard-hitting gameplay. However, it's EA Sports' turn in the Octagon, and during its pre-Gamescom press conference, the company showed the title in action.
EA Sports UFC looks impressive, even in pre-alpha mode, with Jon "Bones" Jones and other fighters looking like the real deal. The company is also going all out to make sure the feel of the game is right, whether you've got someone in a triangle hold or delivering that punch or kick to the head that will take an opponent down for good.
We won't have to wait long for the game. It's currently slated for a spring 2014 release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – just in time to get fighting fans in a good mood for the rest of the year.
We'll have a first look at EA Sports UFC soon.
