E3 2012: New Super Mario Bros. 2 Co-Op Revealed

3DS platformer New Super Mario Bros. 2 will feature a co-op mode in which gamers will be able to play as Luigi.

Also new to the series is a brand new mode named Gold Rush. In this, players are tasked to collect as many coins as possible over three levels with a single life. There’ll be the option to share online with StreetPass.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 has been given an official launch date of August 19th in the US, both online at the 3DS eShop and IRL.
