This is not a drill! Though it may not be the Left 4 Dead 3 we were all hoping for, SOMETHING Left 4 Dead is on the way thanks to Dying Light . That's right, some form of official Left 4 Dead 2 crossover is on the way, though what exactly this crossover entails is anyone's guess.
The running joke in the gaming community is that Valve can't seem to count to three. Left 4 Dead 2 was the big drop off (TEN YEARS), Portal 2, Half-Life 2 ... you get the idea. So while it doesn't seem like that third magical number is happening anytime soon, at least we can take comfort in knowing that something Left 4 Dead related is on the way:
Needless to say, we're not the only ones freaking out:

The reactions were endless yet all equally enthused. Who could blame them? Left 4 Dead was an iconic zombie franchise and one that many are hoping to see revived sometime in the near future. It's also pretty awesome to see the game continuing to receive support, as noted by one person shown above. Even with Dying Light 2 on the way, the first Dying Light still offers reasons for players to jump right on in. With a Left 4 Dead event on the horizon, don't mind if we do!
As for when Dying Light 2 will be here, it's set to arrive in Spring 2020. For more about the game:
