This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Ever since the unveiling of Dragon Ball FighterZ at E3 2017, V-Jump magazine in Japan has served as a monthly update on the title, providing new character announcements and other details. This month is no different as V-Jump confirms Beerus, Hit and Goku Black (in Super Saiyan Rose form) will be joining the roster of Dragon Ball FighterZ when the game launches on January 26, 2018. While details are scarce, read on to find out what we currently know about Beerus, Hit and Goku Black in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

There was heavy speculation that the next three character reveals would be Beerus, Hit and Goku Black after last month’s V-Jump showed arcade mode portraits that, while low resolution and blurry, resembled Beerus, Hit and Goku Black. This also confirms beyond any doubt that Dragon Ball FighterZ includes characters from the current Dragon Ball Super anime and manga. While there have been nods to Super in the form of Golden Frieza and the two Super Saiyan Blue characters, there were still some fans who doubted characters exclusive to Super would appear in the game.

The annual Jump Festa is coming up this weekend, with a new trailer set to debut for Dragon Ball FighterZ (which many are hoping will be at least one of the new character trailers). However, before Jump Festa we do have a small detail about these new characters thanks to V-Jump. In addition to Goku Black, Zamasu will be coming along for the ride as an assist. If you’ve been following Dragon Ball FighterZ, you should already be aware of the fact that Android 17 is an assist character for Android 18, Tien will have Chaozu tagging along as an assist, and Captain Ginyu will have the entire Ginyu Force joining him. Now Goku Black joins this group with a Zamasu assist.
