Capcom’s really pushing its Devil May Cry reboot, DMC, to everyone. It’s easy to see why, since Ninja Theory has really put forward its best effort, capturing the gameplay essence that made previous games work while crafting a new universe – and a new look for Dante – in the process. But if you’re still not sold, and haven’t had a chance to try the game yet at trade events, don’t worry. You’ll get your chance.
At New York Comic-Con this weekend, the company announced that they will be releasing a downloadable demo for the game, on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, so gamers can get a chance to see what the new Dante is all about.
Furthermore, some other details leaked out about the game, courtesy of producer Alex Jones. Mundus, the main villain from the original Devil May Cry, will be making a return in the new game, and though Vergil “will not be on the disc”, rumor has it that Capcom will consider adding him on as downloadable content over the course of the game’s release.
We’ll have an updated hands-on with DMC: Devil May Cry soon. But there’s a lot to look forward to, so we’re heavily anticipating the January 15th release date.
