2015 should be an insane year for Star Wars fans. A couple of months ago, Electronic Arts revealed the first new Star Wars title in its mega-deal with Disney, a new version of the multiplayer franchise Battlefront that's being developed over at DICE.

During an investors conference call, EA explained that Star Wars™ Battlefront will "most likely" be released down the road, alongside the forthcoming Star Wars Episode VII film that's in production over at Disney.  EA Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen stated that the game "will mostly likely come out around the same time the Star Wars movies start to come out, probably in the summer of '15."

That does give DICE an ample amount of time to tweak the multiplayer and make sure it feels just right, with a similar vibe that previous Battlefront games provided.

There's no word yet on official platforms, but Xbox One and PlayStation 4 seem likely.
