As with previous expansions, Beyond Light will offer new gear to earn, new skills to master, and a new story for players to dive into, though this is the first expansion to offer a new class entirely. The return of Exo Stranger is a huge deal as well, especially for those hardcore Destiny 1 fans enjoying the sequel.

“A new power is born out of the ancient Pyramid Ship above Europa’s frozen frontier, and a dark empire has risen beneath, united under the banner of the Fallen Kell of Darkness, Eramis,” Bungie previously mentioned about the upcoming expansion. “Join your fellow Guardians and bring down the empire at any cost – even if it means wielding the Darkness itself.”

Stasis is going to be something entirely new for Guardians to master, an elemental power that will  be another option alongside the Solar, Void, and Arc classes. Like the other classes, Statis will have branching mechanics for Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters, each with a unique mastery for each type of player.
