For those of you thinking that some two-bit hack will be writing the script for Activision’s forthcoming Deadpool game…come on. You don’t really think that he’s going to let it happen like that, do you? He’d kill them first.
One of Swords, aka Dan Amrich, who does a lot of community stuff for Activision, confirmed today that the game’s script will be written by Daniel Way. In case you aren’t familiar with the name, Way worked on a number of comic books for Marvel, including a quite memorable Deadpool series. So obviously he knows where the character’s coming from, especially if you read the current saga through Volume 3.
High Moon Studios is working on the game, which is slated for a 2013 release on yet unspecified platforms. We can’t wait to see what the master assassin has in store, and what insults he’ll be hurling at us. And by the way…if you haven’t seen him crash the Comic-Con panel yet, watch this video and get ready to smile. (Video also courtesy of One of Swords. Whatta guy!)
