During the developer live stream for Dead Space Remake today the team announced they are aiming for an early 2023 release date. This comes just moments after a small gameplay demo that showcased a very early work in progress demo.

The entire stream can be found here, which primarily focuses on the audio design the team at Motive has been working on for the remake. Motive talks about the different audio layering used for the weapons, atmosphere, and overall sound design of the game.

While Early 2023 seems pretty far out, Motive did say during the live stream they are only a few weeks away from being able to give players a more meaty look at the game with a more detailed walkthrough of a section. So even though the release date is still far off, it sounds like we won’t have to wait long to see more from the Dead Space Remake.

If you’re still looking for even more content around the Dead Space Remake the team at Motive did another developer live stream late last year showing off some early lighting and concept technology it was building the remake around.

Dead Space Remake is launching in early 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
