Capcom has taken back a statement that they, apparently, accidentally announced regarding Dead Rising 2 at GDC.
Mental Mill producer Laura Scholl let the (non?) feature slip, but has since spoken to IGN, stating she meant instead to say “multiplatform”, not “multiplayer”.
There was talk of 6000 characters on-screen at a time during these “multiplayer” sessions but we now are unsure about what they accidentally let out and what was simply inaccurate.
“In my ‘During the Dead Rising 2’ presentation at GDC this past Friday, while I was describing how Blue Castle is using mental mill technology in character development, I mistakenly referred to the game as multiplayer instead of multiplatform. I apologize for the confusion,” stated Scholl.
We’re still waiting for more on the issue so keep clicking, like an incessant zombie at a window, on our Dead Rising 2 game hub to find out more.
