At GDC last week, whilst at a Dead Rising 2 stand, Capcom discreetly revealed that there’s to be a multiplayer mode.

IGN reported that Mental Mill, a development software company, have created software will allow 6000 characters on-screen during multiplayer.

We know nothing else of how this is to work, though it seems rather unlikely that the 6000 characters are real people. What we can guess at this point is that the game will, of course, feature absolutely oodles of zombies for gamers to slay.

The game is set in Fortune City, a pastiche of Las Vegas, after the virus from the first game has completely enveloped the country.

Capcom have so far brought out a teaser trailer, a few screenshots, and have announced the game will be out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
