Ahead of their E3 showcase, THQ Nordic and Airship Syndicate have revealed Darksiders Genesis, which is meant to be a spin-off of the mainstay series. The new game will allow players to step into the role of Strife, and will challenge players to “save humankind from certain destruction at the hands of Lucifer.”

The studio also added that fans can look forward to “intense combat, exploration, puzzle-solving, epic boss battles, and serpent holes from heaven to hell.” You can learn more about the game thanks to the trailer above courtesy of IGN. For those attending E3, the game will be fully playable with additional coverage during the showcase.

Darksiders Genesis will be launching later this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia.
