Will Darksiders 3 Release on Nintendo Switch?

Since publisher THQ Nordic has typically been open to the idea of publishing their games on Nintendo Switch, many expected to see a surprise announcement regarding Darksiders 3’s launch on Nintendo’s portable console as well. Darksiders 3 is officially releasing for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 27. However, if you’re one of the fans wondering whether or not Darksiders 3 will release on Nintendo Switch, the short answer is no.

In the weeks leading up to launch, THQ Nordic has stated that they do not currently have plans to release Darksiders 3 on Switch consoles. In an interview with Shacknews at PAX West 2018, Reinhard Pollice, Executive Producer at THQ Nordic, explained that while they “love the Nintendo Switch,” they have decided that ultimately “the Switch is not going to be a target platform for Darksiders 3.”

THQ Nordic’s official comments on the matter seem pretty cut and dry. Although Darksiders 3 may not be coming to Nintendo Switch any time soon, that doesn’t rule out the possibility of it releasing on the portable console sometime in the future, so Switch users shouldn’t lose hope just yet.

After all, the first two Darksiders games were released for the Wii U, so now that the series has become a trilogy, perhaps we can see all three games ported to the Nintendo Switch as some sort of bundle. One can only hope. Check out some of our other Darksiders 3 coverage for more on the third installment to the franchise.
