Cyberpunk 2077 Has Uber

That's right, if you're like me and hate driving, you can always uber your way around Night City in Cyberpunk 2077!

CD Projekt RED has stated numerous times already that Cyberpunk 2077 is much bigger than just Night City. With fast travel and vehicle options, there are a lot of ways to traverse this open world, but what happens when you’re like me and are just absolutely terrible when it comes to driving? You call an uber, of course!

We recently sat down with some of the dev team this past week following a private demo of their upcoming RPG to talk about some of the features players can expect. When admitting how absolutely crap I am at driving mechanics, UI Coodirnator Alvin Liu exclusively told Prima Games that there are actual Uber drivers in the game to make things easier. You may laugh, but this is a life saver for me.

According to Liu, “We have an AI robot Uber self-driving car service, so if you hate driving, you can just call your local AI and have them pick you up.” But just like in real life, Uber in Night City costs in-game money and according to the studio, that debt can rack up quite quickly.

As for the game itself, CD Projekt RED’s brand new IP officially arrives on April 16th, 2020. For more about the game:

“Cyberpunk 2077 is a narrative-driven, open world RPG set in the most vibrant and dangerous metropolis of the future — Night City. You play as V, a hired gun on the rise, who just got their first serious contract. In a world of cyber-enhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate life-hackers, today is your first step to becoming an urban legend.”
