Cyberpunk 2077 Character Customization Won’t Be Gender-Specific

Cyberpunk aims to allow players to make their ideal character, regardless of gender.

Like many RPGs, Cyberpunk 2077 will offer an incredible character customization option that allows players to create their ideal character to take to Night City with. We recently had a chance to check out a private press demo during E3 this year in addition to interviewing some of the dev team and it was during that time that the Cyberpunk 2077 crew mentioned that the best has yet to come for customization.

During the demo, we saw the various skin tones, hair options, and more but according to the team, that is only the tip of the iceberg. The devs mentioned that there will be “many more” customization options available by the time the game launches, including tattoos, makeup, and even piercings. That being said, they also confirmed that gender won’t restrict those options, meaning physical attributes, stylization, and more won’t be male or female, instead allowing total freedom when creating the characters that players can see themselves as.

This year’s E3 was incredible and gave us our official release date! Cyberpunk 2077 officially releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 16, 2020.
