Crytek’s Ryse Reconfigured, Reconfirmed For Xbox One

No longer strictly a Kinect brawler, the game will still use Microsoft's motion device in some way.

A couple of years ago, Microsoft teased a new Kinect project called Ryse developed by Crytek. We haven’t seen anything about the game since that time, but today we learned that we will soon enough.

Microsoft has updated the official Ryse website, adding a countdown to it that actually points to its official re-unveiling at the company’s pre-E3 press conference.  But that isn’t the only change being made to the game.

Originally labeled a Kinect-exclusive brawler, the game now has “controller-based gameplay enhanced by Kinect”.  So you’ll probably be able to use the controller for fighting, and special commands through moving your arms and such.

We’ll get a better idea of how Ryse works when E3 kicks off next month.  Be sure to check back for all the details.  In the meantime, pay the official Ryse site a visit and see just what kind of battle you’re in for…
