KOEI TECMO has released an exclusive alpha demo for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, which now has a release date. The demo is available across all platforms, and players who complete it will receive an exclusive reward to use in the full game.
Wo Long 2 Demo Players Can Get an Exclusive Phoenix Helmet
Players who complete the alpha demo for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will receive the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet, which they can equip in the full release.
I really like the design of this helmet, and since these RPGs let you use the appearance of one piece of equipment on another, you can keep using it no matter what equipment you’re actually wearing.
Keep in mind that you’ll only gain access to this item if you complete the demo. Simply downloading and launching it isn’t enough. Additionally, you can claim the reward only in the full release on the platform where your demo save data exists. So, if you played the demo on Steam, the Helmet will only be accessible on Steam at launch.
It doesn’t say whether the Helmet will be available later, but if you like how it looks, it’s a good idea to finish the demo.

On Steam, the download size is 48 GB, but you need 90 GB of free space for the full install. That’s a lot for a demo, but it’s fairly normal for KOEI TEMCO releases.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember Demo Schedule
The demo is available for a limited time until September 30, 2026 (15:00 UTC). After this period, you won’t be able to download or play the demo on any platform.
You can’t earn achievements during the demo. You can also take a survey in the demo to share your feedback and opinions with the developers. I highly recommend filling this out.
KOEI TECMO has used this method before to gather valuable feedback on major releases, including Nioh 3, to address obvious complaints with the current build before release. My only major concern, as always, is the performance. So far, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember doesn’t feel technically consistent, and I’ll certainly highlight that in the survey.
