A tweet from Cliff Bleszinski, announced with a “BOOM!” that he’ll be making two announcements on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
“NEWSFLASH: Two announcements about two upcoming games on Monday. BOOM!” tweeted #CliffyB.
This comes after an accidental announcement on Xbox Live last night about an April release of Gears of War 3 (check a picture over at the German Eurogamer).
The second announcement, we’re sure, will be new shooter from People Can Fly: Bulletstorm, as it’s already been shown off by Game Informer.
People Can Fly are the Polish studio who created Painkiller, which, if you missed it, was a fantastic demon-filled FPS. The team also ported Gears of War to the PC. The studio was bought by Epic, and, for a long time, have been developing a game for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, set to be published by EA. The studio trademarked the title Bulletstorm back in January this year.
On the front of Game Informer we see a massive guy with a gun the size of his torso taking on a gang of beefy-looking mutants. Game Informer says that in Bulletstorm “players will take on hideous mutants in a flurry of lead, all the while racking up combos that encourage variety over headshot after headshot”.
We can’t confirm this is definitely what’s coming out, but make sure you’re watching the Jimmy Fallon show to find out (and if you miss it just check back here).
